  Delicious food nice size portions. Friendly staff very clean restaurant. It's a hidden gem since we don't have many sit down Chinese food restaurants in Rockland.

  This establishment comes highly recommended. We've had the Chinese cuisine but this was my first time trying their sushi. It tasted great but I take away stars for a couple reasons: a) I got very sick -- It took me out of commission for a whole day causing me to miss work. While I understand that can happen anywhere, I can't just leave it at that. I wouldn't post a negative review just because of getting sick, but when I called to complain, the manager was way too shrewd and flip. I respect how hard it is to run a business but I find the type of service I received to be a little unprofessional. I feel that as a good restaurant, especially a staple of the community, management should back up their good food with exceptional customer service. Being respectful and accommodating goes a long way.

  I have ordered delivery from here multiple times, but lately there has been problems with consistency. Last time we ordered, it took almost an hour to arrive (and we had ordered when it was near closing so I don't think it could have been that busy.) and the food tasted very, very off. Like, the main flavor of the meal was missing. I had ordered this specific order multiple times prior and previously enjoyed how it tasted, so I know they did something pretty different this time, that made it taste unpalatable.
  
  Recently, I tried to order something I had ordered once before; a lunch special of General Tso's Chicken, but substituted with Tofu. They tried to tell me they don't do this and never have, but I have ordered this from them only about 2 or so weeks ago. I was asking them to check different phone numbers I order with when I call their restaurant to confirm this, but they were very hesitant, as if I was lying about ordering this from them before; and when I asked to reconfirm one phone number, they didn't want to check anymore.
  
  If you want to order take-out from a place with consistency in their offerings and quality of meals....look elsewhere.

  Normally when you pay $40 or $50 dollars in a chinese restaurant you get a free fried rice or free soda as a courtesy. Not at this greedy establishment.
  
  If you order food and pick it up in person, don't just double check, triple check, because there is a better chance then not that they screwed your order up, their engrish isn't all that proficient, you would think hearing the names of the same foods ordered over and over again would teach at least those specific words, but no. Expect miscommunication, and lots of it. I am talking about the over weight women at the counter, that is usually there during the day.
  
  When you spend a substantial some of money in a restaurant they go out of their way to please you as a customer, at the Golden Mushroom, they charge you for delivery, that is your consolation prize for being a loyal customer.
